Android is the most widely used operating system worldwide, and perhaps for that reason the most exploited in computing security. Previously we have seen Judy Malware infecting devices to generate large volumes of fraudulent clicks on ads, converting into revenue for their creators.

Well. Android is an open-source platform which is vulnerable to some malware and trojans and it is based on Linux. Google puts in lots of efforts to monitor the PlayStore for malicious apps and removes it to prevent its users from falling into crisis.
Roman Unuchek from Kaspersky Lab had recently pointed out a game on Google Play Store that’s actually a trojan. The game named Colourblock contained a nasty trojan that has the potential to root your device.

Well, the creators after rooting the device can inject malicious codes into the system library. The trojan named Dvmap can install malicious apps from the web and can infect your device in no time.
However, the reports claimed that the developer of this game is in their initial stages because the game was never strong in asking servers to send malicious software to the device.
Well, the creators of the game have uploaded several variants of the game in Google Play Store in order to trap users to deliver Trojan in the victims’ devices. However, the game had been removed by Google.
Users are recommended to avoid downloading any apps or games blindly from Google Play Store and make sure to go through the ratings and reviews of the app before installing it onto your device.

IT security researchers have discovered a new malware that is impossible to remove. Well, the new malware is essentially an Android package or APK masked as a system cleaner app named Ks Cleaner. Once the APK installed on users smartphone, they keep seeing unnecessary ads on their home screen.

This Android App Installs Malware Which Is ‘Impossible’ To Remove

The tech giant Google’s mobile platform, of course, Android is the most widely used operating system worldwide, and perhaps for that reason the most exploited in computing security.
Previously we have seen Judy Malware infecting devices to generate large volumes of fraudulent clicks on ads, converting into revenue for their creators.
Now, IT security researchers have discovered a new malware that is impossible to remove. Well, the new malware is essentially an Android package or APK masked as a system cleaner app named Ks Cleaner.

Ks Cleaner forces users to download a security update. Once the update was installed, the malware can’t be removed from the system. Web security firm, Zscaler stated that this APK downloads itself from ads that are contaminated with malware.

Once the KS Cleaner installed on the system, users are displayed with a flash message which says that the phone has a security loophole which puts user’s account and other data at risk. The only option users have is “Ok” button.

.png   android-adware-malware.png (Size: 302.81 KB / Downloads: 10)

Once user taps on the “Ok” button it automatically downloads another APK file which is known as “Update”. Once installed on victim’s system, it can’t be removed due to the APK registering itself as an Android Receiver.
If an APK register itself as Android receiver it gains administrative right which makes it impossible to remove from the phone. If a user tries to delete it manually it registered event “DEVICE_ADMIN_DISABLED” triggers the malware which causes the phone to freeze.
Shivang Desai of Zscaler on a blog post stated “Once the app gains admin rights, it becomes impossible to remove it from the device. The traditional ‘Uninstall’ option, by default, becomes disabled, because a user cannot remove apps with admin rights. Usually, one can uninstall such apps by first removing admin privileges via settings, but this app uses an unconventional method — registering as an Android receiver — to preserve its admin privileges.”
Once the APK installed on the smartphone, users keep seeing unnecessary ads on their home screen. The APK file “Update” can even manage the bookmarks, settings and can even download apps without permissions.
The best thing to dodge this malware is to avoid clicking the suspicious links. Disable the “Unknown Sources” Download option from Settings. Staying away from unknown forums will help a lot since the most malware instances have been found on online forums.

A few days ago we have seen security firm Check Point discovered ‘Judy’ a malware that is present in Google Play. Here we are going to share you some method to protect yourself from Judy Malware.

Judy is an adware generator that was present in 41 applications developed by the Korean company Kiniwini. This adware uses infected devices to generate large volumes of fraudulent clicks on ads, converting into revenue for their creators. Malicious programs totals between 4.5 and 18.5 million downloads.

Here we are going to share you some method to protect yourself from Judy Malware.

#1 Keep You Software Up To Date

This is the first thing you need to do. Updated software gives you the best chance to stay safe as possible because software updates add a new layer of security and improve the performance.
#2 Installing a Security App
Well, everyone has an antivirus or antimalware software on their computer. You should also apply the same to your mobile devices. Choose a good antivirus app for your phone.
#3 Avoid unauthorized app stores
Even Google Play store seems vulnerable with Judy malware. So, make sure you are not downloading apps from unauthorized or illegitimate app stores. Google scans products uploaded and blocks software that seems malicious. Despite this, malware does slip through the cracks.
#4 Checking App Permissions
Make sure to read the privacy and policy before you install or download any app. Make sure you are not giving enough permissions to compromise your Android device.
You can even use a VPN for browsing and try to download applications using a secure wireless network. Make sure you don’t view or share sensitive information when connected to Public Wifi.
These are the list of malicious apps developed by Kiniwini. Google has removed the apps from its store. However, if you still have any of the apps on your phone delete immediately.

WhatsApp is the most popular messaging app platform that is used by more than 95% smartphone owners in India. WhatsApp is ending its support to a number of devices. Check out the list of devices that will no longer run WhatsApp post – June 30, 2017.

Attention! WhatsApp Will No Longer Work On These Phones

As well all know that WhatsApp is the most popular messaging app platform that is used by more than 95% smartphone owners in India. If you remember, previous year we have mentioned that WhatsApp will no longer run on some older smartphones.
WhatsApp on its official blog had stated in February 2016 “As we look ahead to our next seven years, we want to focus our efforts on the mobile platforms the vast majority of people use. So, by the end of 2016, we will be ending support for WhatsApp Messenger on the following mobile platforms”
WhatsApp is about to end support for few devices by the end of 2016. These are the mobile platforms that will no longer support WhatsApp Messenger:

  • BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10
  • Nokia S40
  • Nokia Symbian S60
  • Android 2.1 and Android 2.2
  • Windows Phone 7
  • iPhone 3GS/iOS 6
Well, the reason why we are renewing this story is that the company has extended the date to end support until June 2017. WhatsApp had updated the blog post and wrote: “WhatsApp is extending support for BlackBerry OS, BlackBerry 10, Nokia S40 and Nokia Symbian S60 until June 30, 2017.”
That means BlackBerry OS, Blackberry 10, Nokia S40 and Nokia Symbian S6 will still support WhatsApp until June 30, 2017.
WhatsApp on its official blog mentioned that these devices “have been an important part of our story, they don’t offer the kind of capabilities we need to expand our app’s features in the future.”
So, if you are using the smartphone listed above, then it is recommended to upgrade to the latest smartphone if you want to enjoy WhatsApp’s upcoming features in the future.

hii...today I will teach you how to root android with p.c with cmd(safest method)

Root voids your warranty

REQUIREMENTS

1.required driver for pc of the Android(not needed if your pc recognizes your phone ,when connected)

2.fastboot.exe and adb.exe

3.a data cable(pick the original one )

4.required custom recovery of your android eg.recovery.img(download for your device)

5.supersu.zip (download the latest one )

what is rooting

In simply in my language rooting means installing superuser in your device ,which gives permission to accrcess certain files to certain apps, which generally a non rooted phone denies.

you can root your by 2 ways

1.without unlocking OEM or boot loader
2.with unlocking

what is custom recovery

generally a non rooted phone hv a recovery called stock recovery ,with custom recovery you can flash zips of roms ,apps ,kernels and superuser .
and custom recovery comes with a .img format

known custom recovery apps :cwm ,philz, twm etc

why this is the safest

coz we will not use any third party apps we will use windows cmd here

steps

1.OEM unlocking
2.recovery flashing
3.super user install

OEM unlocking

Step 1.

First thing you need to do is, shut-down your phone and remove battery by opening the back panel. Reinsert the battery properly. Now press and hold down the volume down key (second button from top, at the right side) with the power key (at the top) to enter into bootloader mode. (may vary with device, search how to go fastboot mode with your model name)

Step 2.

Once you’re in bootloader mode, use volume up/down buttons to navigate up or down in the list. Highlight “Fastboot” and press power button once to go into fastboot mode. You should now see Fastboot written on the screen. Now connect the phone via USB cable to computer, and proceed to the next step.

Step 3.

Open the folder where you extracted the ZIP file containing adb.exe and fastboot.exe . Press shift key and right-click anywhere in the white- space area of the window. Now select “open command window here”. It will open command prompt at that specific location.

Alternately you can open command prompt by pressing ‘windows key’ + R , and navigate to the folder where the extracted files are located, from the command window itself. To do so, type the drive letter (with colons) in which that particular folder is located, and then type “cd” following the path of the folder. For example,

type “D:” (if the folder is located in ‘D’
partition), and then “cd /GPRShub/soumya/adb/”
(location of the folder).

Step 4.

The command window should now show the path of the folder where you extracted the ZIP files. If you did everything correct so far, type “fastboot devices” (without quotes) and press enter to check if it’s detecting your phone.

Now type “fastboot oem
unlock”
(for htc devices you have to get unlock token first )

your device will reboot, just switch off it go to fast boot mode

follow process 1 to 4 ....to check connectivity of your device .

recovery flash

1.download .img. recovery file for your device And move it to that folder where you have your fastboot .

type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img(here recovery.img is the file name of my recovery ,if you have another name then you can type there )

wait for success message(4-5 sec)

************then switcoff yourphone***********************

go to recovery mode ....

supersu install

1.go to recovery mode ....

2.click on install

3.locate that folder where you hv downloaded super Su and install

4.reboot

*****check whether super Su installed or not if yes check with root chcker ********

this may be the longest but the safest And you can root any mobe with this

do at your own risk
